Fountain Pens

One of the offerings to be introduced by Montblanc and which I have added to my personal collection is the Edgar Allen Poe. The Czar Nikolai I is part of the Meisterstück Solitaire Collection. If you prefer lapis lazuli to malachite, try the Ramses II which is also a stunning pen. The 2002 Patron of the Arts limited edition is the Andrew Carnegie, a 4810 and 888 series.

Limited and Special editions:

A few of Delta's offerings are the Venezia, Colosseum and the Nautilus. From Montegrappa comes the Cosmopolitan Series and from Aurora there is Giuseppe Verdi. One of the few Limited Editions from Parker is the Norman Rockwell.

"Czar Nikolai I"

Gilded sterling silver and malachite adorn the Meistersück Solitaire "Czar Nikolai I" pens. Named for the czar who was the great-grandfather of the last Czar of Russia, Nicholas II. Nicholas I was the emperor who earned the nickname of 'Don Quixote of Absolutism'. He was the father of the 'Tsar Liberator', Alexander II who freed Russia's serfs in 1861.

"Friedrich der Große"

Friedrich II is a "safety filler" pen. This is a revival of a retractable nibbed instrument, a rarity among modern pens.
