The Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, Boston, MA
This monumental painting measures nearly 8' x 11.5', practically a mural. The effect is stunning. I first encountered this work at the National Gallery in Washington, D.C. in 1992. If you have the opportunity to visit the Gardner in Boston you will view the painting in the setting that was created for it. "El Jaleo" is truly a masterpiece.
